This policy explains what Looks collects, why, and how we use it. We keep the list short because we try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Account data (if you sign up): email address and authentication credentials handled by Supabase.
Preferences you enter: sizes, body type, color and material preferences, saved looks. These let the AI personalize recommendations. A style icon you type in is saved with your preferences and may be a person's name.
Venue and search context: the place you asked about, approximate location (city-level unless you grant precise location), and the weather at that location.
Usage metadata: counts and costs of AI generations so we can enforce fair-use limits and improve the product. We don't sell this data.
Device session ID: a random UUID stored in your browser so guests can use the service without an account.
Third parties
We use these service providers to make Looks work. Each entry says what that provider receives and why.
Supabase: stores your account, preferences and saved looks, and handles sign in.
Vercel: hosts Looks. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights record cookieless page views and page performance.
OpenAI (AI provider): writes recommendations and look descriptions from your request, your preferences and the venue, and checks both generated looks and the photos, titles and descriptions you save for unsafe content.
Google Gemini (AI provider): writes recommendations and draws look images from your request, your preferences and the venue, and reads the color of each piece from its photo.
Anthropic (AI provider): writes recommendations from the same information when another model provider is unavailable.
Cohere (AI provider): ranks shopping results against your searches and the ones written for your look, turns the preferences you save into a style profile, and indexes the product details of the items you add to your closet.
Vercel AI Gateway (AI gateway): carries most requests to the AI providers above and brings back their answers, so it sees what they receive.
Google Places and Maps: venue details and maps.
SerpAPI: shopping results for the items in a look.
OpenWeather: the weather at the venue.
Stripe: processes subscription payments. You enter your card details on Stripe's checkout page, and we receive your subscription status, not your card number.
Google Analytics: page views and interactions. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them; until then Google receives cookieless signals with advertising identifiers removed.
Cloudflare Turnstile: checks that a request comes from a person and not a bot, using signals from your browser.
Expo: sends push notifications to the Looks app for iOS and Android. It receives your device push token and the id of the look the notification is about.
Sentry: receives crash reports from the Looks app for iOS and Android: what failed, the app version, and the device model and operating system. Reports carry no name, email, account id or IP address.
Google Play Integrity: checks that requests from the Looks app for Android come from a genuine copy of the app on a genuine device, using an integrity token from your device.
Apple App Store and Google Play: process subscriptions you buy in the Looks app. We receive your subscription status, not your payment details, and check Google Play purchases with Google.
The first time you make a look, the Looks app for iOS and Android asks your permission before it sends your requests, preferences or photos to the AI services above (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, Cohere and Vercel AI Gateway), and it makes no looks until you agree. The same list is in the app under Settings, Your data and AI.
Product links take you to retailers we don't control. Their privacy policies apply once you leave.
Your choices
You can delete your account at any time from settings, on the web or in the app. This permanently deletes your account, profile, preferences, saved looks, closet, cart, searches and chats, and cancels any subscription you bought on our website. Images of your looks are removed from our storage within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play; cancel it there. Reports of offensive looks are kept for moderation, no longer linked to your account. To remove guest data, clear your browser storage.
Analytics cookies are optional. To accept them, decline them, or change an earlier choice, open , which is also in the site footer.
